My name is Krista Powers. I am a mom, partner, visual artist, life long learner, disability advocate, coffee lover, life path 3'er, spirit talker, creativity wizard, diverger, equity and peace-for-all kinda human.

I am also a lover of the arts, and a firm believer that creating and enjoying art is healing. My creative process is a balance of mind, heart and soul. It is a joy to be inspired, and there isn't much in life that doesn't inspire me. Inspiration leads to a vision which all comes together through the application of thoughtful composition, use of light and shadow, form and expression. The soul speaks and art is the result.

As a Nationally Accredited and Award Winning Photographer I also specialize in creating custom heirloom photographic printed products and wall decor. Art Print Services

Art + Soul is all about creating High Quality Limited Edition Art Prints of my own Original Mixed Media and Photographic Works. Prints can be ordered in a variety of sizes, and finishes including the following options:

Rolled Canvas
Stretched Canvas (no frame) with Image wrapping around the sides
Stretched Canvas with a clean modern Black or Silver Frame up to 1.5 inches in depth
Unframed Laminated & Mounted Prints (Does not need any glass over print to display just put in a frame)
Framed Laminated & Mounted Prints (Does not need any glass over print to display) with a clean modern Black or Silver Frame

Art + Soul also creates for sale Original Artwork that is truly one of a kind, and may or may not be offered as a Limited Edition Print. Original pieces are available in two different genres, listed below. I am also open to taking private commissions to create custom art for your home or office. Rolled Giclée Canvas

You can choose to print as a Rolled Giclée Canvas and frame it later yourself. All canvas prints are archival quality with a rich satin finish that has a UV rating of 200 plus years. This will protect your prints from fading, and scratches. Giclée gives beautiful image definition and vibrant colours. Items are also shipped in heavy duty mailer tubes to protect them to the fullest while making their way to your home.

Framed Giclée Canvas

Choose to print as a Giclée Canvas and let us take care of the framing for you. You can choose a modern black or anodized silver frame. All canvas prints are archival quality with a rich satin finish that has a UV rating of 200 plus years. This will protect your prints from fading, and scratches. Giclée gives beautiful image definition and vibrant colours. Items are also shipped with loving care to protect them to the fullest while making their way to your home. I also work with Local Canadian Printers who deliver top quality service.

Unframed or Framed Laminated & Mounted Prints

Choose to print as a Laminated and Mounted Print with or without a frame. The great thing about Laminated and Mounted Prints is that they do not need glass over them. The Lamination is a matte finish with a UV resistant archival quality of up to 200 plus years! Laminated prints are dry mounted on acid free foam board which makes them lightweight and easy to handle. You don't have to worry about crinkling your photographic print when its mounted, and the lamination can help protect your print from fading, scratching and finger prints.

Original Art

Original art is just that! These are either one-of-a-kind Healing Gemstone Paintings on Gallery Wood Panels made with Real Gemstones and Epoxy or Mixed Media Abstract Paintings created on high quality Canvas. Originals may or may not be framed when listed. The option to have an original painting framed is an additional cost that will be sourced after purchase if that is your choice. Original art is also created and packaged with great care and professional products to be archival. All original art comes with a personal intuitive message from the artist and is signed by the artist.

OUR STORY & PHILOSOPHY

From the time I was a small child I was drawn to all things creative including paint, textiles, découpage, jewellery making, and photography. My soul is an artist and I am not happy if I am not creating something. For 20 plus years I pursued my passions for art in the medium of photography as a hobbyist, an amateur and even a professional. I hold 6 National Photographic Accreditations in the following genres; Fine Art/Photo Decor, Botanical, Ornithology, Nature, Fantasy Illustration and Pictorial Scenic. In October 2020 I was awarded my Master of Photographic Arts with the Professional Photographers of Canada. As a Nationally Accredited & Award Winning Fine Art Photographer I have had the opportunity to exhibit my photography across the nation.

The vision all comes together through the application of thoughtful composition, use of light and shadow, form and expression. Inspiration speaks and art is the result.

In a former life I worked as a certified public health inspector. An unexpected twist of life brought on a battle with chronic life-long invisible illness. It has forced me to slow down and begin a healing journey. Art has been my healer. It is why I create, and what I hope my art can bring to others, healing that is. Everything I create is from a place of sacred intention and spiritual flow. I take my time to get in a good head space and meditate before I begin the creation process. I intuitively flow as I create to bring forth art work that is not only pleasing to the eye, but also for the soul. I take commissioned orders, and this page is just beginning to take its shape. You will find here original paintings, limited edition prints of acrylic mixed media paintings and photographic art. Each piece is created to be archival up to 200 plus years with high quality finishes. You may also choose to have your art printed in a variety of sizes and formats to suit your space.
